What to do in Moorea

As with the rest of the islands in French Polynesia, there are plenty of things one can do in Moorea. Swim, snorkel or dive your way to an excellent island adventure. Snorkeling in Moorea is great with many organized tours and travel companies setting up underwater dives. An amazing place to learn how to scuba dive, Moorea offers both novice and expert scuba divers a number of spots to dive right into. Most of the dive zones on the island are located along the northern coast. Tiki, the Coulior de Raies and the Jardin des Roses are offer an incredible wealth of marine life to explore.

Aside from the variety of water sports that you can enjoy, some other activities you can occupy your time with while out here include; cycling around the island, hiking and horseback riding. A cycling tour of Moorea is a great way to see the island. With a 60 km long road stretching all the way around Moorea's coast, cycling lets you get pretty intimate with your surroundings. Bike past the many sights along the way to enjoy some truly spectacular and one-of-a-kind views of the island. For the more active, hike your way up Mount Rotui and Mount Mouaputa. A climb to the summit of both these peaks, offer hikers some extraordinarily beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
